Nigeria wants Delta Steel privatized

Nigerian Federal Government has recently announced that it wants country's second largest steel producer Delta Steel to be privatized immediately and become operational in the first quarter of 2005. It is reported that Bureau for Public Enterprises (BPE), government's privatization agency, is asked to implement the process for the privatization of the plant. Government sources reported that this privatization will also enliven other steel plants in the country.
