NBS: Local Chinese rebar prices up 0.7 percent in mid-September

In mid-September (September 11-20) this year, the average price in China of 16-25 mm HRB 400 rebar increased by RMB 25.2/mt ($3.5/mt) or 0.7 percent to RMB 3,729.6/mt ($520/mt), compared to prices in early September (September 1-10), as announced by China’s National Bureau of Statistics.

In the given period, the average price of wire rod rose by 0.6 percent, while the average prices of medium plate, hot rolled coil (HRC), seamless steel pipes and angles decreased by 0.6 percent, 0.3 percent, 0.2 percent and 0.4 percent, respectively, all compared to early September.
