In late June (June 21-30) this year, the average price in China of 16-25 mm HRB 400 rebar decreased by RMB 37.9/mt ($5.3/mt) or 1.0 percent to RMB 3,705.0/mt ($514.6/mt), compared to prices in mid-June (June 11-20), as announced by China’s National Bureau of Statistics on July 4.
In the given period, the average prices of wire rod, hot rolled coil (HRC), medium plate, and angles declined by 0.7 percent, 0.4 percent, 0.5 percent, and 0.7 percent, respectively, though the average prices of seamless steel pipes remained almost stable, all compared to mid-June.
