In the first half of the current year, China's producer price index (PPI) decreased by 2.2 percent on year-on-year basis, according to data released by China's National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on July 15.
Meanwhile, In June this year, China's PPI decreased by 0.6 percent compared to May this year and indicated a decline of 2.7 percent year on year.
In the first six months, domestic industrial producers' purchase prices in China were down 2.4 percent year on year. In June, domestic industrial producers' purchase prices saw a decline of 2.6 percent compared with June last year and a decrease of 0.5 percent on month-on-month basis.
Also in June, China's consumer price index (CPI) witnessed a year-on-year increase of 2.7 percent, while it remained unchanged month on month. In the first half, China's CPI was up 2.4 percent year on year.
