In the January-June period of the current year, China produced 372.80 million mt of pig iron, up 0.5 percent year on year, while also producing 451.16 million mt of crude steel and 530.85 million mt of finished steel, both rising by 6.0 percent year on year, respectively, as announced by China's National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on July 16.
In June alone, China produced 65.88 million mt of pig iron, up 3.8 percent year on year, while also producing 80.20 million mt of crude steel and 95.51 million mt of finished steel, up 7.5 percent and 7.2 percent year on year, respectively.
