Monnet Ispat changes name

Indian company Monnet Ispat announced that it changed its name into Monnet Ispat and Energy Ltd in line with its expansion plans in the power sector. Monnet officials indicated that the new name will reflect the business of the company in sponge iron, steel in the steel segment, and coal and power in the energy segment. The company obtained approval from shareholders and the Central Government for the name change.
