China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) has announced that during last week (February 20-26) the overall average finished steel price in China increased by 2.3 percent week on week.
In the given week, average prices of high-speed wire rod, rebar and channels in China rose by 2.7 percent, 2.5 percent and 3.2 percent week on week, respectively.
In the same week, the average price of non-ferrous metals in China decreased by 1.8 percent week on week. The average price of nickel (Ni > = 99.2%) declined by one percent compared to the previous week.
In the week in question, the average price of coal in China fluctuated in a narrow range. In particular, the average price of thermal coal moved down by 0.2 percent, while the average price of coking coal increased by 0.6 percent and the average price of anthracite coal remained unchanged, all week on week.
