China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) has announced that during last week (December 4-10) the overall average finished steel price in China increased by 2.1 percent week on week.
In the given week, average prices of common steel round bar, rebar, high-speed wire rod and common medium plate in China respectively increased by 3.0 percent, 2.7 percent, 2.5 percent and 1.9 percent, week on week.
In the same week, the average price of non-ferrous metals in China edged down by 1.6 percent week on week. The average price of nickel (Ni> = 99.2%) decreased by 3.0 percent compared to the previous week.
In the week in question, the average price of coal in China rose by 0.3 percent week on week. In particular, the prices of coking coal and thermal coal increased by 0.4 percent and 0.3 percent, respectively, while the price of anthracite coal remained stable, all compared to the previous week.
