MOC: Average finished steel price in China up 0.7 percent

China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) has announced that during last week (July 24-30) the overall average finished steel price in China increased by 0.7 percent week on week.

In the given week, average prices of hot rolled common sheet, welded steel pipes, high-speed wire rod and rebar in China rose by 1.1 percent, 1.0 percent, 0.9 percent and 0.7 percent week on week, respectively.

In the same week, the average price of non-ferrous metals in China moved up by 2.4 percent week on week. The average price of nickel (Ni> = 99.2%) increased by 3.4 percent compared to the previous week.

In the week in question, the average price of coal in China rose by 0.3 percent week on week. In particular, the price of anthracite coal remained unchanged, while prices of both coking coal and thermal coal increased by 0.4 percent week on week.
