MOC: Average finished steel price in China up 0.4 percent

China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) has announced that during last week (February 11-17 2019) the overall average finished steel price in China rose by 0.4 percent week on week.  

In the given week, average prices of rebar, welded steel pipe, high-speed wire rod and hot rolled steel strip increased by 0.5 percent, 0.5 percent, 0.4 percent and 0.3 percent, respectively, week on week.  

In the week in question, the average price of coal in China remained stable week on week. In particular, the prices of anthracite coal and thermal coal moved up by 0.5 percent and 0.1 percent, respectively, while the price of coking coal edged down by 0.2 percent, week on week.

In the same week, the average price of non-ferrous metals in China edged down by 0.1 percent week on week.
