China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) has announced that during last week (December 26-January 1) the overall average finished steel price in China decreased by 1.3 percent week on week.
In the given week, average prices of rebar, high-speed wire rod and channels in China declined by 1.8 percent, 1.7 percent and 1.3 percent week on week, respectively.
In the same week, the average price of non-ferrous metals in China decreased by 0.6 percent week on week. The average price of nickel (Ni> = 99.2%) declined by 5.4 percent compared to the previous week.
In the week in question, the average price of coal in China increased by 0.1 percent week on week. In particular, the average prices of anthracite coal and thermal coal increased by 0.4 percent and 0.2 percent week on week, respectively, while the average price of coking coal declined by 0.3 percent week on week.
