MOC: Average finished steel price in China down 0.5 percent

On November 3, China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) announced that during last week (October 26-November 1) the overall average finished steel price in China decreased by 0.5 percent week on week.
 
In the given week, average prices of hot rolled sheet (HRS) and hot dip galvanized (HDG) in China declined by 1.1 percent and 1.0 percent week on week, respectively.
 
In the same week, the average price of non-ferrous metals in China decreased by 1.2 percent compared to the previous week. The average price of nickel (Ni> = 99.2%) rose by 0.5 percent compared to the previous week.
 
In addition, in the week in question, the average price of coal in China decreased by 0.1 percent week on week. In particular, the average price of thermal coal decreased by 0.2 percent week on week, while the average prices of coking coal and anthracite coal increased by 0.2 percent and 0.1 percent  week on week, respectively.
