Mobarakeh Steel ups flats output in past six months

Managing director of Mobarakeh Steel Company, Mr. Mohammad Rajaei, announced in a recent speech that the company produced 2.449  million metric tons of hot rolled coil and 600,000 metric tons of cold rolled coil during the first six months of the current Iranian year (21.03.2007-20.09.2007).

The Mobarakeh Steel Co. MD went on to point out that the Iranian producer's HRC and CRC production figures for the six months in question represent increases of six percent and 35 percent respectively compared with the same period of last year.

Mobarakeh Steel is the largest Iranian steelmaker with an annual production capacity of 4.2 million metric tons. Through its current development plans, the company is aiming to extend its capacity to nine million metric tons within the next two to three years.
