The Russian steel producer Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works (MMK) has announced its intention to increase its share of high value added products in the mill's overall production to 85.4 percent by 2013.
In 2006, the share of high value added production in MMK's overall output totaled 82 percent.
This number is expected to increase due to MMK's implementation of several projects involving the installation of mills for the manufacture of high value added products - such as a mill 5000 for the production of plates and a mill 2000 for the manufacture of cold rolled steel.
