MMK plans to increase domestic sales in 2007

The Russian steelmaker Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works' (MMK) Manager for Regional Sales, Nikolay Kozhevnikov, has announced that the company intends to increase its domestic sales to 12.4 million metric tons of finished steel products in 2007. Currently, MMK has three regional representatives through which it plans to distribute up to 250,000 metric tons of finished steel products a month. In addition, the company plans to work closely with various domestic traders, through which it plans to sell about 30 percent of its output intended for the domestic market.
