MMK begins reconstruction of mill 2000

Russian steel mill Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works (MMK) begun the reconstruction of HR rolling-mill 2000, aiming at raising its capacity up to 6 million metric tons a year. To complete the modernization program, MMK concluded the equipment supply agreements with French company Stein Heurtey and Ukrainian Novokramatorskiy Machine-building plant. The reconstruction of the mill would not only raise its productivity but also improve the quality of HR produced at mill 2000.
