According to recent market reports, Lakshmi Mittal expects Arcelor's management to come to negotiating table the next week to discuss his company's improved Euro 23 billion ($29.51 billion) bid. Mittal last week raised its hostile cash and equity bid for Arcelor and Arcelor said on Sunday it was ready to evaluate Mittal's plan. Lakshmi Mittal said “The general feeling is very positive. Arcelor investors understand that it is a compelling offer, which they can't refuse”.
