Mining work at Prioskolskoye to start in Dec 2012

Mining operations at the Prioskolskoye iron ore deposit are scheduled to start in December of 2012, the commission responsible for the construction of Prioskolskoye Iron Ore Oxidizing Plant (Prioskolskoye GOK) has stated.

The iron ore deposit in question has about 45.2 million tons of proven reserves.

According to the license agreement, the Russian steelmaker Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works (MMK) is to complete project preparations for the development of the Prioskolskoye iron ore deposit by June 1, 2009.
