According to the data issued by the Ukrainian iron ore and steel producer Metinvest Holding (Metinvest), in March this year its subsidiary Khartsyzsk Pipe Works (KhPW) increased its large diameter (LD) pipe output to 11,890 mt from just 353 mt in February.

In January-March this year, KhPW produced 31,124 mt of LD pipes - down 79.2 percent compared to the same period last year when the plant produced 149,809 mt of LD pipes.

As SteelOrbis previously reported, in February KhPW had almost stopped its production. Nevertheless, Metinvest said that its low output recorded in February was in line with its production plan.
