Metinvest and ISD enter into long-term contract

The Ukrainian steel producer Metinvest Holding (Metinvest) has announced the signing of a long-term iron ore and raw material sales contract with Industrial Union of Donbass (ISD), one of the country's leading steel producers.
 
The three-year contract in question will secure the supply of ten million mt of iron ore pellets, as well as 11 million mt of iron ore concentrate and six million mt of fluxes and dolomite products to ISD's steel manufacturing companies from Metinvest's mining enterprises.
 
In a statement on the issue, Metinvest said that both parties are content with having entered a long-term cooperation agreement, since securing steelmaking raw materials is a must for the global steel industry.
 
The contract in question is expected to positively affect the Ukrainian mining and steel sector.
