Meishan Steel ignites coke oven No. 3

Meishan Iron and Steel Co., subsidiary of major Chinese steelmaker Baosteel Group, has successfully ignited its new coke oven No. 3. With a seven-meter coking chamber and 60 charging holes, the coke oven is the largest in China.

The coke oven in question is located in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province. As stated by Meishan Steel, the coke oven is expected to be put into production in April this year.
