Masteel focuses on production of angles for transmission towers

Anhui Province-based Chinese steelmaker Maanshan Iron and Steel Co. (Masteel) has announced that at the H-beam production line of its rolling mill it has commenced production of 250 x 250 mm equal angles of 20 mm thickness for application in the construction of electricity transmission towers. In mid-June this year, Masteel won a tender to supply 220 x 220 mm and 250 x 250 mm equal angles for construction work on the national electricity grid extending from Hami in Xinjiang autonomous region to Zhengzhou in Henan Province. Masteel will initially supply 12,000 mt of steel angles for the construction work.
