In November this year, manganese ore shipments from Australia's Port Hedland increased by 72 percent month on month to 160,250 metric tons, up by 124.1 percent compared to the same month of 2017, according to the monthly data released by the Port Hedland Port Authority.
Meanwhile, in November this year manganese ore shipments made from Port Hedland to China amounted to 118,250 metric tons, increasing by 26.9 percent compared to the previous month, while shipments to Indonesia totaled 42,000 metric tons.
Port Hedland handles production from mines owned by BHP Billiton, Fortescue Metals Group and Atlas Manganese in the manganese ore-rich Pilbara region of Western Australia.
