Manganese ore exports via Port Hedland down 13 percent in June

In June this year, manganese ore shipments from Australia's Port Hedland totaled 141,650 metric tons, decreasing 12.6 percent compared to the previous month and down 13 percent compared to the same month last year, according to Port Hedland Port Authority.

According to the released information, China was the only export destination for manganese ore shipments from Port Hedland in June this year, with manganese ore shipments to China increasing 68.6 percent month on month and up 46 percent compared to the same month of last year.
 
Port Hedland handles production from mines owned by BHP Billiton, Fortescue Metals Group and Atlas Manganese in the manganese ore-rich Pilbara region of Western Australia.
