Italian steelmaker Lucchini Group’s Lecco-based wire rod mill will restart production on February 6.

According to local Italian media reports, the orders lately received by Lucchini, which cover the whole of February and beyond, have enabled the resumption of production at the wire rod mill. In January this year, 100 employees of the wire rod mill had been temporarily laid off amid the suspension of operation of Lucchini’s Piombino-based blast furnace.
