Lucchini Group, Italy, considers the installation of HR mill at Piombino works in Italy, a spokesman of the company announced. Severstal-Group, the biggest Lucchini's shareholder, will receive the preliminary results of a feasibility study in the near future. Now Piombino lacks hot rolling capacities, and its production of around 400,000 of slabs per year has to be re-rolled at Severstal North America. After the installation of the new mill, the slabs would be rolled at works. The installation of HR mill will cut transportation cost.
