Long product mill to be built in Kazakhstan

In 2006-2008, Impeco, a long product plant with a total capacity of 300,000 tons per year, will be constructed in Kazakh town of Aktoba. The main production of the plant will be square billet, rebar and wire rod. The scrap purchases will be supplied from the domestic market. The new plant will supply the majority of its output to the domestic market. The project will allow for additional budget revenues of $6.7 million and create employment for 330 people.
