LNM and US Steel form consortium for Krivorozhstal tender

World's second largest steelmaker LNM Group announced that a consortium is formed with US Steel (USS) to participate the tender for the privatization of Krivorozhstal, state owned steel mill of Ukraine. Besides, Ispat Karmet of Kazakshtan and Ispat Polska Stal of Poland, both of which are affiliated to LNM Holdings, will be members of the consortium as well. As reported by SteelOrbis early this month, Arcelor and Severstal will be bidding jointly in the tender. The tender, which is expected to earn well over UAH (Ukrainian currency) 3 billion ($563 million), will take place in June.
