On January 16, Guangxi Province-based Chinese steelmaker Liuzhou Steel successfully carried out a hot run test on its 1,450 mm hot rolling production line, thus laying a solid foundation for the producer's accomplishment of its targeted output of 10 million mt of finished steel in 2010.

Liuzhou Steel's 1,450 mm HRC project is its second hot rolling production line, following its 2,032 mm HRC project. The new HRC line will also play an important role in supplying materials for Liuzhou Steel's cold rolling line.
