Lianyuan Steel releases ex-factory prices for December

On December 1, Hunan Province-based Lianyuan Steel issued its ex-factory prices for December. The details are as follows:

1. HR:
Ex-factory prices have risen by RMB 240/mt ($35/mt). Thus, the new price of Q235 2.75 mm is at RMB 3,680/mt ($537), while that of Q235 5.5 mm is at RMB 3,440/mt ($502).

2. CR:
The ex-factory prices of CR have seen an increase of RMB 200/mt ($29/mt). As a result, the price of 1.0 mm thick SPCC CRC is RMB 4,090/mt ($597/mt).

3. CR Full Hard:
Ex-factory prices have increased by RMB 200/mt ($29/mt). Following the adjustment, the price of 1.0 mm thick SPCC Full Hard stands at RMB 3,740/mt ($546).

4. HR strip
Prices are up by RMB 50/mt ($7/mt). Thus, the new price of Q235 183  x 2.75 mm is now at RMB 3,610/mt ($527/mt).

The above prices include 17 percent VAT and are effective from December 1 to December 15, 2008.
