On September 16, Hunan Province-based LianYuan Steel announced upward adjustments to its ex-factory prices for some products. The details are as follows:
HR:
The ex-factory prices of HR have increased RMB 180/mt ($24/mt). As a result, the new price of 2.75 mm thick Q235 HRC is RMB 4,580/mt ($609/mt), while that of 5.5 mm thick Q235 HRC is RMB 4,410/mt ($586/mt).
CR:
The ex-factory prices of CR have gone up RMB 180/mt ($24/mt). After adjustment, the new price of 1.0 mm thick SPCC CRC is RMB 5,000/mt ($665/mt).
HDG:
The ex-factory prices of HDG have risen RMB 100/mt ($13/mt). Following the adjustment, the new price of 1.0 mm thick ST01 HDG is RMB 5,140/mt ($684/mt).
Full Hard:
The ex-factory prices of Full Hard have increased RMB 100/mt ($13/mt). After the adjustment, the new price of 1.0 mm thick SPCC Full Hard is at RMB 4,430/mt ($589/mt).
Hot rolled strip:
The ex-factory prices of hot rolled strip have been hiked by RMB 50/mt ($7/mt). Thus, the new price of 183 x 2.75 mm Q235 hot rolled strip is RMB 4,130/mt ($549/mt).
Angles:
The ex-factory prices of equal angle have increased RMB 40/mt ($5/mt). The new price of Q235 7.5# Equal Angle is RMB 3,940/mt ($524/mt).
The above prices include 17 percent VAT and are effective as of September 16, 2007.
