On March 1, 2008, Hunan Province-based LianYuan Steel issued new ex-factory prices for its flat products. The details are as follows:
HR:
The ex-factory price has increased RMB 350/mt ($49/mt). As a result, the new price of 2.75 mm thick Q235 HRC is RMB 5,500/mt ($775/mt), while that of 5.5 mm thick Q235 HRC is RMB 5,330/mt ($751/mt).
CR:
The ex-factory prices have risen RMB 450/mt ($63/mt). After adjustment, the new price of 1.0 mm thick SPCC CRC is RMB 6,250/mt ($880/mt).
Full Hard
The ex-factory prices have increased RMB 500/mt ($70/mt). After adjustment, the new price of 1.0 mm thick SPCC Full Hard is at RMB 5,780/mt ($814/mt).
HDG
The ex-factory prices have gone up RMB 600/mt ($85/mt). After adjustment, the new price of 1.0 mm thick ST01 HDG is at RMB 6,400/mt ($901/mt).
The above prices include 17 percent VAT and are effective as of March 1, 2008.
