Largest Chinese wire rod mill to build new production base in Wuzhou

The municipal government of Wuzhou in China’s Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region has inked an agreement with Hebei Province-based wire rod producer Qian’an Jiujiang Wire Co., Ltd, according to which the two parties will cooperate in the construction of a new 10 million mt capacity metallurgical materials (iron and steel) production base in Wuzhou.

Qian’an Jiujiang Wire was established in 2002, with a registered capital of RMB 4.0 billion ($569.3 million), while it has an annual output of 10 million mt of wire rod, making it the largest single wire rod production enterprise not only in China but also in Asia. Its main products are high-speed wire rod of 5.5-20 mm diameter.
