Shandong Province-based Laiwu Iron and Steel Co., Ltd has announced that it has carried out successful trial production of Australian Standard rebar at its bar rolling mill.

Australian Standard rebar differs greatly from Chinese Standard rebar in shape, having three more longitudinal ribs and a mesh-like surface. The trial production has met the necessary requirements and so paves the way for the mass production by Laiwu Steel of Australian Standard rebar.
