Kunming Steel announces flat rolled prices

SteelOrbis Shanghai On October 1, Kunming Steel announced its ex-factory prices of cold rolled and hot rolled sheet. Prices of cold rolled sheet still remained at the levels announced on September 7. The ex-factory price of 1.0 mm ST12 cold rolled coil is at RMB 4,750/mt ($601), and that of 0.5 mm ST12 cold rolled coil is at RMB 5,160/mt ($653). Prices of hot rolled sheet remained unchanged at the ex-factory prices announced on September 1. The detailed prices are as follows: Price of 2.0 mm Q195-235 is at RMB 4,300/mt ($544). Price of 3.0 mm Q195-235 is at RMB 4,050/mt ($513). Price of 4.0 mm Q195-235 is at RMB 3,950/mt ($500). Price of 5.0 mm Q195-235 is at RMB 3,850/mt ($487). Price of 6-10 mm Q195-235 is at RMB 3,750/mt ($475). Price of ≥12 mm Q195-235 is at RMB 3,700/mt ($468). Meanwhile, Kunming Steel also determined to reduce the discount given to its agents by RMB 50/mt ($6), which in fact results in RMB 50/mt price hike for the agents. The above prices include taxes and are effective as of October 1, 2006.
