New York-based financial company KPS Capital Partners, LP announced Tuesday that, through a newly formed company, W Foundry International, Inc., it has entered into definitive agreements to acquire ThyssenKrupp Waupaca, Inc. from ThyssenKrupp Budd Company. Based in Waupaca, Wisconsin, ThyssenKrupp Waupaca, Inc. is the largest independent iron foundry in the world and produces gray and ductile iron castings.
David Shapiro, a KPS Managing Partner, said, "We are very excited to create an independent Waupaca Foundry.
