The Ukrainian iron ore and steel producer Metinvest Holding (Metinvest) has announced that in October this year its subsidiary Khartsyzsk Pipe Works (KhPW) manufactured a total of 30,656 mt of large diameter (LD) pipes, down 76 percent month on month.

During the month in question, KhPW continued the production of LD pipes with internal and external anticorrosive coating, manufacturing a total of 29,222 mt - down about 73 percent compared to September this year.

The company said that the month-on-month decrease in its October output was due to capital repairs of equipment carried out at KhPW's main workshops.

In January-October this year, KhPW produced 483,226 mt of large diameter pipes - up 170 percent, with the output of pipes with anticorrosive coating totaling 485,028 mt - up 200 percent, both compared to the same period last year.
