Khartsyzsk Pipe Works raises LD pipe output in August

The Ukrainian iron ore and steel producer Metinvest Holding (Metinvest) has announced that in August its subsidiary Khartsyzsk Pipe Works (KhPW) manufactured a total of 61,370 mt of large diameter (LD) pipes, up 27.5 percent month on month.

Meanwhile, also in August, KhPW continued production of Х70 1,067 х 15.9 mm LD pipes, and of K56 (09G2FB) 1,220 х 12.5 mm LD pipes, and started production of 10G2FB pipes of 1,420 х 15.7 mm and 1,420 х 16.8 mm size, and of K56 (09G2FB) pipes of 1,220 х 16.8 mm size, all with internal and external anticorrosive coating. In August, KhPW's total output of the pipes in question amounted to 60,281 mt - up 28 percent compared to July, with its pipe deliveries for the same month reaching 59,723 mt, 57.5 percent of which were supplied for the Central Asia-China gas pipeline project.

In January-August this year, KhPW produced 412,167 mt of large diameter pipes - up 2.1 times year on year, with the output of pipes with anticorrosive coating totaling 415,636 mt.
