Kazakhstan's crude steel output drops 1% in Q1

According to the data released by the State Statistic Agency, Kazakhstan's crude steel production decreased 1 percent to 963,093 tons year on year in the first quarter of 2006. On the other hand, the output of flat rolled products raised 4.2 percent to 649,730 tons, and that of galvanized steel 25.6 percent to 134,540 tons in the given period. In the first quarter of 2006, the output of ferroalloys raised 7.7 percent to 411,154 tons.
