At the request of Kazakhstan's President Nursultan Nazarbayev, the Kazakhstan government may concede within the country's new tax code a series of preferences to local mining and metallurgical companies which are implementing large advanced investment projects.

As Kazakhstan's President Nazarbayev stated, the decrease of global demand for the products of the metallurgical industry has already affected some of the big Kazakh mining and metallurgical companies, and this could lead to a negative impact on the implementation of their investment projects.
