JSW Steel ups crude steel output by three percent in August

The Indian steelmaker JSW Steel Limited has announced that its crude steel output in August this year rose by three percent year on year and was also up three percent as compared to the previous month, rising to 539,000 metric tons.
 
Meanwhile, during the month in question, the company's flat rolled product output totaled 445,000 metric tons, increasing by 47 percent, while its long product output rose by 15 percent to 87,000 metric tons, both compared to August 2009.
 
According to its own statement, JSW Steel has the largest galvanizing and colour coating production capacity in India and is the largest exporter of galvanized products with a presence in over 100 countries across five continents.
