Jinxi Steel begins production on H-beam line successfully

SteelOrbis Shanghai Hebei province based Jinxi Steel successfully started the trial operation of its hot rolled H-beam production line on May 5. The production line is among the largest three H-beam lines in China with a designed production capacity of 1 million metric tons. The major equipments of the plant were imported from Germany. Jinxi Steel is a subsidiary of China Oriental Group Company, listed in Hong Kong stock exchange. Established in 1988, Jinxi Steel mainly produces semi finished and strip steel. It currently has six 450-cubic meter blast furnaces, one 100 tons capacity converter and three 45 tons capacity converters. Besides, it owns two 1 million mt capacity strip steel production lines and one 1 million mt H-beam production line. Jinxi Steel has 3.5 million metric tons of crude steel and 3 million metric tons of finished steel per annum production capacity, ranking 26 among all Chinese iron and steel enterprises.
