Jindal inks MoU with Chhattisgarh government

Indian steel producer Jindal Steel and Power has signed a memorandum of understanding with Chhattisgarh government to invest Rupees 25.9 billion ($589.6 million) at Raigarh, Chhattisgarh. In line with the investment plan, the company will build a coke oven, sinter plant, blast furnace, steel melting shop, plate mill, rolling mill, rebar mill, wire rod plant and a power plant in Chhattisgarh. Chhattisgarh government will help the company implement these projects.
