Jiangsu Province-based Chinese steelmaker Jiangsu Yonggang Group Co., Ltd has announced that it has signed an agreement with South Korean distributor Haoyuan Steel for the export of 260,000 mt of wire rod to South Korea in 2011.
In 2010, Jiangsu Yonggang Group exported 217,000 mt of finished steel to South Korea. Jiangsu Yonggang Group was the biggest overseas supplier of common carbon wire rod to the country in question in 2010, supplying 44 percent of all common carbon wire rod imported by South Korea.
