The new hot rolled plate production line of Chinese steelmaker Jiangsu Feida Group, which officially began production at the end of June 2006, is expected to achieve a capacity of 1.2 million mt by the end of the current year, rising from the present level of 600,000 mt.
Jiangsu Feida Group is currently proceeding with construction work on its two million mt 2800 HRP project, its 2500 fine-rolling project, a 220,000 kV transformer substation project and a one million mt EAF project. All the equipment for these projects will be installed and commissioned in the second half of 2008, achieving their full capacities of 3.2 million mt in 2009.
