According to statistics released by
Japan's Ministry of Finance,
Japan's
stainless flat steel exports totaled 54,340 metric tons in November this year, falling by 17.9 percent month on month and down 24.8 percent compared to November 2010.
In November,
Japan's
stainless flat steel exports to South Korea decreased by 48.7 percent month on month to 8,040 metric tons, while a decrease of 44.8 percent was registered compared to November 2010. China imported 15,142 metric tons from
Japan in November this year, down 15.4 percent compared to October this year and down 21.8 percent year on year.
In the January-November period of 2011,
Japan's
stainless flat steel exports amounted to 814,330 metric tons, falling by 3.5 percent year on year.
In the first 11 months of the year, Japanese
stainless flat steel exports to South Korea totaled 178,242 metric tons, while exports to China amounted to 196,460 metric tons, increasing by 2.1 percent and up 12.2 percent respectively, both compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.
