Japan's November steel exports up

Data from the Japanese Iron and Steel Federation show that Japan's steel exports rose 27.3 percent year on year to 2.96 million metric tons in November 2006. Japan's steel exports to South Korea rose 29.7 percent year on year to 685,013 metric tons in November, while those to China grew 52.9 percent to 560,762 metric tons in the same month. In addition, Japan's November steel exports to Thailand rose 30.3 percent to 329,002 metric tons, while those to Taiwan increased 0.3 percent to 278,849 metric tons. Japan's steel exports to the US jumped 28.5 percent to 119,808 metric tons.
