IUD builds new mill in Russia
One of the biggest Ukrainian metallurgical holdings, Industrial Union of Donbass (IUD), has started construction of a new steel mill in Russia's Krasnodar Region. The cost of the mill is estimated at $100-250 million. The new plant will be equipped with a 1.5 million mt/py steelmaking workshop, a 700,000 mt/py section rolling mill, and a 400,000-500,000 mt/py wire rod mill. The assortment of production may also include rebar, channel bar and angle. IUD plans to complete the construction works in two to two and a half years.
