ITC to conduct sunset reviews for HR flat products from eleven countries

Tuesday, 07 November 2006 09:50:03 (GMT+3)   |
The US International Trade Commission (ITC) voted yesterday to conduct full five-year reviews (“sunset”) concerning the countervailing duty and antidumping duty orders on hot-rolled carbon steel flat products from Argentina, China, India, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, the Netherlands, Romania, South Africa, Taiwan, Thailand, and Ukraine. As a result of yesterday's vote, the ITC will conduct full reviews to determine whether the revocation of the orders would be likely to lead to a continuation or recurrence of material injury to US domestic industries. The interested parties are requested to submit their comments on the ITC's decision. Generally, 95 days after the initiation of the review the ITC determines whether the responses indicate adequate interest in a full review. If the responses are indicative of sufficient interest, the ITC will conduct a full review, which includes public hearings and questionnaires.
