According to the statistics released by the Italian steel producers' association Federacciai, in the first 10 months of the current year Italy's steel exports to non-EU countries reached 5.008 million metric tons, up by 23.3 percent, while its steel imports from non-EU sources totaled 5.075 million metric tons, down 35.9 percent, both compared to the same period of 2011.
